I am usually quick to start focusing on the next film as soon as I"ve finished one, but here is a rare exception that I prefer to let linger on for a while even at the risk of my memory of it becoming unremarkable. That"s because it"s one of the most subtly affecting and beautiful love stories that I"ve seen in years. A low-key pace and a sumptuous musical score build the film to a conclusion that is truly flawless.
The story is of a young American graduate student who stays with a professor in his country house in Italy in the summer of 1983 and slowly develops an intimate relationship with the professor"s precocious 17-year-old son. Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer are both brilliant in this film as the two who find companionship in an unexpected place, and Michael Stuhlbarg is wonderful as the professor. The young man and the teenage boy do not interact much at first, mostly because the young man appears detached and unresponsive. But I would be loath to reveal too much after that. Let"s just say it"s a film that one should absorb slowly and let its quiet power take hold. It"s a film that truly captures some wonderful truths about the human condition, about the emotional toll of relationships and about how much one"s secrets shape one"s dynamic with others.
In terms of cinematography, there is much of the Italian countryside to marvel at. It makes that country seem like one of the most blissful and sublime places in the world to visit. History buffs and linguists will find some welcome material in the professor"s dialogues with his graduate student to enjoy. As quiet and austere as the film may be at times, it contains a deeper passion that gradually gets tapped into and colors the mindset despite the taboo nature of the material. Never long or protracted, it will keep you guessing until the end and just leave a haunting feeling after it"s over. Gladly recommended to anyone in search of true cinema.

They declared their love without saying I love you. But can someone talk about the captivating way Timothee looked towards the hall at the beginning? Pure beauty, like a posed photography or a perfect painting.

I don"t know why I laughed so hard when he yanked out his speech paper. 3:43 Elios laugh. so cute. This movie was a bit off the beaten path for us. but it drove deep a feeling of compassion about love. I would not doubt there are many who have in their youthful pursuits found a liking to a fellow chum. We may surprised to learn that many have trotted down the path only to allow fear to keep them from finding happiness. Morally, I have in the past felt it was wrong, but I am not one to be a judge. we must allow others to live their lives and not interfere, for in doing so I think we hurt ourselves more than them.
This was an excellent movie and should be seen by all...

I know i"m too late for this but i just watched this last night and omg i still can"t get over with it. i keep thinking about it, the notable scenes, the ending, their affair. i got too much attached with this and i"m even straight but i love this! i superb love this. i cried all night fuck! this probably my all-time fave movie since then! i highly recommend this! 10/10. The genius of James Ivory"s script is that it doesn"t sound written. It just sounds like two guys talking. Brilliant. Call me by your name peach scene.

Call me by your name full movie 2017 free. What I love about their friendship is the fact that Armie is really protective when it comes to Timy. It"s like he"s still in his role and he feels the need to keep an eye on him, just in case. Shipping them is unavoidable. Call Me by Your named. Call me by your name 2017. Call Me by Your name search. As an American Veteran, I must say I can and do respect the English in their stand at Dunkirk and other beaches. Many Americans do not appreciate the sacrifice that the English have made for their country and America. This is before FDR finally enacted war upon Japan / Nihon, Nipon or Nippon - for the idiots) and Germany/ Deutschland, when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. FDR had to be forced into it before making the decision, he was a Progressive and Pacifist, but he finally had to. Then our American citizen soldiers came to support the British and the rest of Europe. Unfortunately too late for many of them. Sadly for American citizens, it has never ended since then, because of the military / business machine. Our new President should make it stop, and allow the other nations to defend themselves, re-create their militaries. When there may be a time we Americans may need them, perhaps they will answer our call to arms. Such honor that the British had/have, suffered, and died for is no longer appreciated by many, but there are still those that remember. I really appreciate the Brits, and acknowledge their heroism and fortitude. For those that have served in Britain, I salute you. Thank God you still serve! To my American brothers, keep in mind that they served before we did in the great wars, honor and cherish the sacrifices they have made. Again, thank you cousins from across the pond. An American Soldier/Warrior Veteran.

Call me by your name. Just finished this movie and had a whole crying session. Every time an actor plays gay, an instant question is how was the kiss? How did you handle a sex scene? and I"m like, what is this, junior high? It"s ACTING, it"s not Porn. Do these people think actors are really doing it on Film? Heck, even the kiss is fake. Amie Hammer comes off as very shy and Chalamet is a milennial so it"s a non-issue for him. Call me by your name soundtrack. Call Me by Your name registration.

There"s an adorable awkwardness/tension between the two of them. I believe there might be a little bit of feelings that developed while they were filming, I mean I think its just impossible not to feel something about someone when theres always constant physical intimate contact (e.g. kissing) like even just lil bit ya know. I didn"t watch this yet but I ordered it on Amazon should be here Wednesday. It was a blind buy so I hope it"s really good. Call me by your name script. Call me by your name wiki.
